Mortality risk for obesity similar for blacks, whites

A study in PLOS One has found that the increased risk of premature death associated with a higher body mass index (BMI) is similar for African Americans and whites. The findings also support recommendations for maintaining a BMI between 20–25 kg/m2 for optimal health and longevity. Read more and access the study.
