Radial approach safer than femoral for coronary angiogram

Patients undergoing coronary angiography have a significantly lower risk of major bleeding and mortality if the procedure is performed by using the radial, instead of the femoral, approach, according to research presented at the American College of Cardiology’s 64th Annual Scientific Session and published in The Lancet.
