Blood pressure management guideline released

JAMA has published “2014 Evidence-Based Guideline for the Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults: Report From the Panel Members Appointed to the Eighth Joint National Committee (JNC 8),” which states that the blood pressure goal for patients 60 years and older should be less than 150/90 mm Hg. The previous guideline’s goal was 140/90. Read the guideline. Access three key editorials related to the guideline.
