CDC director resigns over conflict of interest

Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald, who was appointed director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in July 2017, resigned today because of financial interests that forced her to recuse herself from testifying in a variety of cases. Of particular interest are stock trades she’s done since taking her position. You can read more here and here.
