Chocolate reduces heart failure hospitalization

A study of women with no history of heart failure (HF) or myocardial infarction found that “moderate habitual” eating of chocolate was associated with a lower rate of HF hospitalization or death. “The protective association was not observed with intake of one or more servings per day,” states the report published by Circulation on Aug. 16.
