Drug shortages unprecedented says ISMP

The July 29 issue of the Institute for Safe Medication Practice’s ISMP Medication Safety Alert! states that the number of drug shortages in the past few months is “unprecedented” and includes emergency drugs, pain medications, and anesthetic agents. ISMP says healthcare practitioners are concerned about how shortages are affective patient care. Read more here.
