Entirely subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator shows positive results

The New England Journal of Medicine has published a pilot study of entirely subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillators. The study found the devices successfully treated all 12 episodes of sustained ventricular tachycardia.
