FDA issues updated birth-control pill information

On April 10, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an update on blood clots and birth control pills containing drospirenone. The update states that drospirenone-containing birth control pills may be associated with a higher risk for blood clots than other progestin-containing pills.
