Only about half of teenage girls receive HPV vaccine at recommended age

A study from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston found that almost half of the teenage girls they surveyed received the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine when they were older than 12; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends girls receive the vaccine when they are 11 to 12.
