Missed nursing care increases risk of postop mortality

Missed nursing care because of inadequate staffing increases postoperative patients’ risk of dying within 30 days of hospital admission, according to a report in the International Journal of Nursing Studies. The researchers analyzed data from the RN4CAST study of nurse staffing at hospitals in nine European countries.
