#NursingPride Photo Contest

CONTEST IS CLOSED FOR ENTRIES

The theme for Nursing Week 2014 is “Nurses Leading the Way,” and to celebrate our passionate and caring nurses, we’re looking for photo submissions that get to the heart of the following question:

What makes you proud to be a nurse?

We know that as a nurse you are a leader, both on and off the clock. Send in your pictures that show why you’re #proudtobeanurse, whether it’s a picture of your awesome shift team, your mentor, an award you’ve won or even an action shot from your workday. Some ideas to keep in mind for submissions are:

  • Why you’re proud to be a nurse
  • How you are involved in the community
  • How you’ve taken on a leadership role, whether at work or at home

Our Editorial Board will be picking their 4 favorites, so send those photos in! Please include a brief caption with the picture about why it makes you #proudtobeanurse!

The 4 winners chosen will each receive a $25 AMEX gift card and their photo will be published in American Nurse Today! The submission deadline is April 15, 2014.

To enter, simply upload your photo to one of our social media pages. On twitter, you can tag us in the post @AmNurse2Day. Or you can post your picture and caption to our Facebook page.

You can also email your submissions directly to wpowell@americannursetoday.com

Remember that if you are including a patient in your photo, you will need to fully comply with HIPPA Laws (see #14 in Full Contest Rules).

A big thanks to our wonderful nurse community! We can’t wait to see why you’re #proudtobeanurse!
