Pilot program trains home health aides to provide nursing care in the home

A pilot program in New Jersey reports success with having nurses delegate certain tasks to home health aides caring for Medicare beneficiaries. The most common task delegated was medication administration; other tasks included blood sugar monitoring, tube feeding, and wound care. Read more.
