Study: Longer military deployments increase divorce risk

The risk of divorce increases directly in relation to the length of time enlisted service members have been deployed to combats zones, according to a new study from the RAND Corporation. Researchers found that any deployment increases the risk of divorce among military members, but the negative consequences were higher for those deployed to war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq.
