Study: Men more likely than women to return to hospital within 30 days of discharge

A study in BMJ Open reports that men had a higher rate of hospital utilization, defined as ED visits or readmissions within 30 days of discharge, than women. Risk factors for men included being retired, not being married, having symptoms of depression, and not visiting a primary care provider within 30 days. Read more
