Study: Readmission rates don’t affect mortality

A study published Feb. 13, 2013 in JAMA found that readmission rates bear little or no relationship to 30-day mortality in Medicate patients with acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, and pneumonia. The study included nearly 5,000 hospitals over a 3-year period. Read the study and a news article about the study.
