Study: Specific benevolence brings happiness

Pursuing concrete, specific goals of benevolence, such as making someone smile or increasing recycling, instead of following similar but more abstract goals, such as making someone happy, is more likely to increase happiness, according to a study in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
