A friend of mine is a PhD psychologist who’s been studying the opioid epidemic for years…long before it was being called an epidemic. She started her work in West Virginia, where addiction and overdose deaths are high. Unemployment and the chronic pain that comes with jobs like coal mining made the Mountaineer State ripe for this particular health crisis.

With all that in mind…and the fact that so many states are suffering just like West Virginia and that nurses and healthcare professionals from all specialties and disciplines need to work together to combat opioid misuse…I recommend you find time to participate in the webinar, “Strategies for Strengthening Opioid Stewardship: A Conversation with the NQP™ Opioid Stewardship Action Team.” Presented by the National Quality Forum’s National Quality Partners, the webinar will focus on strategies all healthcare clinicians can implement to drive opioid stewardship and effective pain management.

Date and time: March 29 / 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm ET. Click here to register.
