Fast biomarker tests for inflammation may reduce unnecessary antibiotics

A systematic review published in The Cochrane Library has found that using the C-reactive protein test to determine the presence of inflammation can reduce the use of unnecessary antibiotics. The test is available as an on-the-spot kit that gives results in about 3 minutes. Read more and read the study abstract.
