Consider a career in clinical research

Thank you so much for the Ness, et al. article “Consider a career in clinical research” in the November 2012 issue of American Nurse Today. I have worked in clinical research for over 10 years in various positions, and this is the first article that I have seen that discussed my actual position (and in a positive light): IRB administrator. This role has been a perfect mesh of my nursing background and my nursing PhD education. In addition to the protection of human subjects, one of my goals has been to make the path to research an easier one to encourage nursing research. Articles like this one assist with that mission. Thank you again for the timely article.
